Ivy League

Elementary Overview

Ivy League’s 21st Century Elementary School curriculum has gone beyond mastery of traditional academics by preparing students to live in a growing and interdependent global society. Spanish, Mandarin and information technologies are part of the curriculum. Education is future-oriented, and exceeds all local and national learning standards. Teachers stress higher order thinking skills and “habits of mind” that are the foundation of abstract thinking, imagination and judgment. A dedicated and highly experienced faculty is supported by specialists in art, music, physical education and teachers of foreign languages. In an environment small enough for teachers to accommodate different learning styles, capabilities and personalities — yet large enough to provide multiple pathways to achievement — each child is appreciated and valued as a member of the group.
